3D Illustrations Professional Video Storage and Compression Video kwezwick 4 months ago A video I put together for our storage and compression department, providing a brief overview on the topic. One of the first portions of the video I completed was this isometric system diagram. If I were to do it again today, I’d probably go full 3D to be able to move around within the illustration. I spend so much time figuring out how to add motion to these isometric illustrations that I ended up rebuilding them in Cinema 4D and animating them there. Each block was exported as a 1080 frame animation on a transparent background for ease of incorporation into After Effects. Through time remapping and scaling, I was able to get a lot of use out of a few seconds-long rotation animations. The humble looping animation. Some of the source illustrations provided to me that I reworked in Illustrator.
